Individual Coaching with World Tree Coaching Is:
Different from counseling or therapy.
While both coaching and therapy are designed to help you live to your fullest potential, coaching is unique in that it helps you reach your goals as you define them while inviting you to step in to new challenges and take risks towards growth.
Coaching does not provide mental health assessment, diagnosis or treatment. In coaching, we may talk about what’s worked or not worked for you in the past, but we do not focus on long-term personal or family of origin issues. Coaching does not treat substance abuse, provide crisis intervention or domestic violence counseling.
In the event that I feel you would better benefit from work with a counselor or psychotherapist, I will make every effort to refer you to the appropriate resource.

Too often coaching has the reputation of “kicking you into shape.” I’ll admit I’m not that kind of coach. Two fundamental words that guide my work are – honestly and gently. I am compassionate. I believe in building people up by focusing on what they’re doing well. And I am honest, but not harsh. I know you are smart and savvy and can totally handle being nudged to go big without being made to feel small.

One of the greatest gifts of coaching is the freedom the process offers. Coaching provides you with an incredibly flexible and creative opportunity to bring whatever you want to the table. I’m not here to tell you what to think, to do, or to feel. I’m here to provide a space for you to define what you want out of life and then support you in stepping forward into what you most desire.
I always tell my clients, “The only person creating the definition of your life is you.” This is an especially powerful reminder to expats because we so often feel like our lives are controlled by someone else’s work, timeline or needs. With coaching you’ll learn new ways to maintain balance between the ambiguity of a global lifestyle and developing intentional strategies for creating the life you want to lead.

A significant portion of my coaching practice is based in helping people live more mindfully. To that end, much of my work is dedicated to helping my clients build a better foundation for understanding their thoughts and emotional patterns, raising awareness of and building insight around those patterns and developing strategies for using that awareness for a more fulfilling daily life. It is change that lasts a lifetime. As one of my clients once said,”It’s the sort of thing you can’t unlearn.”

How It Works
Schedule a Free 1:1
It’s so easy to get started in your work with me! Simply begin by scheduling your free 1:1 consultation. I’ll then be in touch by email with your Zoom meeting link and to share more details about what to expect out of our consultation.
Choose a Coaching Program
After your 1:1 consultation you’ll have all the information you need to choose the best coaching package for you. You’ll then complete your registration forms, make your secure payment and schedule your sessions using my convenient online scheduling system.
Reach Your Goals
I typically work with clients for 4, 8 or 12 sessions. Our sessions will help you focus in on your goals and give you the tools to put what you learn to work for you between our meeting times. My clients report seeing results right away – a benefit that comes from the dynamic and empowering nature of our work together.
4 Session Coaching Package
This is where I recommend most clients start. This package includes four 45-minute coaching sessions on the topic of your choice. This program is a great fit for individuals facing a specific short-term challenge or for those who are interested in simply trying the coaching process before making a longer-term commitment.
8 Session Coaching Package
Eight, 45-minute coaching sessions on the topic of your choice. Common coaching topics include: Maintaining relationship balance in the expat life, getting off the reinvention roller coaster, reducing stress, and living with a sense of purpose. All coaching sessions must be completed within 16 weeks of the initial start date. .
12 Session Coaching Package
Twelve, 45-minute coaching sessions on the topic of your choice. Common topics are similar to those above. Individuals often choose this if they’re anticipating a number of ongoing personal or professional challenges or transitions over the course of a given time period. The first 8 sessions must be completed within the first 16 weeks of registration. The final 4 sessions must be completed within a year of your initial registration date.
